Great Family Read

Yet both fear and hate him? The story will warm your heart.

This is one book whose secret must be kept until the reader can discover it for himself. To give away too many details in my review, I would be doing a disservice to the author who has written a tale that is both classic and spiritual. Who is Droll Child? Who is Lone Man? Why do all the native tribes ascribe to him awe, yet both fear and hate him?

The story will warm your heart, as the wise old grandfather tells his young grandson the story of his people, their land, and their history. But he is telling the young boy much more than that…..he is also teaching him eternal truths. Through this story you too will perhaps learn some truths you never before considered.

This is a classic, and I only wish there were more than 5 stars to rate it.

I Really Enjoyed This Book

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was nice to see people who had reasons to be bitter or uncaring instead come through as the heroes of the stories.

Transformation, Hope, and Redemption!

This is no doubt the most unusual book I’ve ever read. Riveting from the first page, the story took me on a journey I’m not likely to forget. Two characters dominate…..Dar’ock, himself a Son of Cain, yet “civilized,” and a brutish troglodyte who also self-identifies as a Son of Cain. As the story unfolds, this fictional story starts to become less fiction and more reality concerning the nature of mankind. Becoming “civilized,” do I become a better man?

It is a story of transformation, hope, and redemption…..and it brings you to its climax of the Great Flood…….and an ending that will surely touch your heart, as it did mine. ~sign me…..John Edgell fan for life!

Fantasy Mirrors Reality

By |Author Blog|

Fantasy: A Mirror that Anticipates In These Stories Fantasy Mirrors Reality Moil of Darkness and The Forbidden are fantasy stories set in fantasy realms, but they mirror the realities of our day. In fact, most fantasy mirrors reality to one degree or another. These two stories definitely speak to what our nation and the world are experiencing today. They not only mirror many of the realities of our day, but they also anticipate where those realities appear to be leading. The stories are bleak with glimmers of hope, and [...]
